Get ready for an unforgettable cultural experience as the Barcelona Society gears up to celebrate the Ganpati Festival for the very first time in 2023! This vibrant and lively event will bring together the local community and enthusiasts from all walks of life to partake in the festivities, rituals, and celebrations dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity of wisdom and prosperity.

The Barcelona Society is set to embrace the Ganesh festival, which will grace our community with its presence from September 19, 2023, through September 23, 2023, making for a delightful span of 5 days. Here, we present the event schedule:

Event Schedule:

• Agaman (Traditional Banjo Music): Commencing on the evening of September 18, 2023, at 06:00 PM, we initiate the festivities by welcoming Lord Ganesh with the traditional Agaman rituals, as we invite the deity into our community.

• Sthapna: On September 19, 2023, between 11:00 AM and 01:00 PM, we will reverently install the Ganesh idol and conduct the Pran Pratishtha puja to invoke the divine presence of Lord Ganesh.

• Housie: Join us on the evening of September 20, 2023, from 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM for a delightful game of Housie with two thrilling rounds, offering participants a chance to test their luck and win exciting prizes. Additionally, there will be a Lemon & Spoon race and Tug of War for everyone to enjoy!
• Games for Children, Ladies and Gents: On September 21, 2023, from 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM, we have arranged a diverse range of games catering to different age groups and genders, fostering friendly competition within our community.

• Satyanarayan Pooja: Starting at 01:00 PM and concluding at 03:00 PM on September 22, 2023, we will commence the Satyanarayan Katha followed by a grand dinner featuring Mahaprasad, a meal blessed by Lord Ganesh, as a collective gathering.

• Visarjan (Dj Music): On the evening of September 23, 2023, from 07:00 PM onwards, we will bid farewell to the Ganesh Utsav with a lively and emotional procession, immersing the Ganesh idol in a nearby water body. This vibrant event will be accompanied by music and dance to celebrate the conclusion of the festival.
